With the Etsy app you can browse, search for items and shops, and make purchases on the go.
The app has many of the same features that you see on your desktop browser.
How to find recommendations and videos
Go to your Home feed in the app to see items you’ve recently viewed and favorited, along with some recommendations from Etsy.
If you’re in the US and using the iOS version of the app, you can view, favorite, and comment on seller videos. Tap a post to view the listing page if you'd like to purchase the item or add it to your favorites.
How to find your favorites
Go to the You section of the app and tap Favorites to see:
- Updates : See new items from shops you’ve favorited, when a favorite item is back in stock, or when a favorite item is almost sold out.
- Favorite items
- Favorite shops
- Favorited posts
- Collections
- Gift Lists
- Registry
- Saved Searches
- Recommendations for you
If you’re using the Etsy app for iOS, you can also see when a shop you favorited has new items in their shop, when one of your favorite items is almost sold out, and when a shop you favorited has items back in stock.
How to find shop deals and promotions
Your Deals feed shows when a shop you’ve favorited is running a sale or promotion, or when an item you’ve favorited has been reduced in price.
You may also see deals and promotions from shops that are similar to ones you have favorited.
How to use Etsy Gift Mode
Tap Gift Mode to find the perfect gift for any occasion.
To take the quiz:
- Select who you’re shopping for and tap Next question.
- Select the occasion.
- Choose three or more interests that describe the recipient for the best results.
- Tap Show gift ideas.
How to manage your account and view messages
Go to the You section of the app to:
- View your Favorites
- View your Purchases and leave a review.
- Read and respond to your Messages.
- View or edit your Profile.
- Buy an Etsy gift card.
- Manage your Settings such as push notifications, privacy, and regional settings.
How to create Gift Lists and set up reminders
Gift Lists allow you to organize gift ideas and set reminders to purchase saved items for special occasions.
Gift Lists can only be created on the iOS Etsy shopping app at this time. Gift Lists are visible on Etsy.com when viewed on desktop and mobile web, but they’ll appear as collections and you won’t be able to see any occasions or reminders you set up.
To create a Gift List:
- When viewing an item, select the heart icon to favorite it.
- Next to Gift Lists, add the item to an existing Gift List, or select New to create one.
- When creating a new Gift List, enter a name in the Who’s it for? section.
- Scroll through the list of occasions to find one that best suits your gift idea. You’re not required to choose an occasion to save an item to a Gift List.
- For occasions that aren’t specific calendar holidays, enter a date and select Add occasion. Occasion dates can be edited after your Gift List is saved.
- Select Create to save your Gift List.
To view your Gift Lists on the Etsy app, select the Gifts icon from the navigation menu and choose Gift Lists. You can also view your Gift Lists from the Favorites menu.
Gift List reminders are turned on by default, and will be sent by email both 30 and 20 days prior to the date selected. To turn this off, select a Gift List and toggle the Get reminded! button.
From the Gift List page’s Customize menu, you can also:
- Change who the Gift List is for
- Change the date of set occasions
- Add or remove occasions
- Make your Gift Lists public
- Share your Gift List
- Delete your Gift List
