How to Update the Phone Number in Your Etsy Account

How do I update the phone number I use for two-factor authentication? 

Two-factor authentication is an optional security measure you can turn on or off at any time. If you used a phone number for two-factor authentication, you’re able to update it.

To update your phone number used for two-factor authentication on Etsy.com:

1. Sign in and go to Account settings.
2. Go to Security.
3. If you have two-factor authentication turned on, turn it off. Enter the code sent to your current phone number to turn it off. If your current phone number is not accessible, use one of the backup codes you were provided with when you first set up two-factor authentication.
4. To add a new phone number, turn two-factor authentication back on. Select SMS or Phone when prompted to pick an option.
5. Enter your preferred phone number. 

To update your phone number used for two-factor authentication on the Etsy Seller App:

1. Go to More.
2. Under Account & app settings, select 2 Factor authentication.
3. If you have two-factor authentication turned on, turn it off. Enter the code sent to your current phone number to turn it off. If your current phone number is not accessible, use one of the backup codes you were provided with when you first set up two-factor authentication.
4. To add a new phone number, turn two-factor authentication back on. Select SMS or Phone when prompted to pick an option.
5. Enter your preferred phone number.

How do I update my phone number in my shop settings? 

If you’re a seller, your phone number can be updated in your shipping and legal settings, as well as in two-factor authentication.

Legal shop information

To change your phone number in your Legal shop information on Etsy.com:

1. Go to Shop manager.
2. Go to Finances and select Legal and tax information.
3. Select Edit under Legal shop information.
4. Scroll down to the phone number field and update. 

To change your phone number in your Legal shop information on the Etsy Seller app:

1. Go to More.
2. Under Finances, select Payment Settings.
3. Select Address, then select Edit legal shop information.
4. Scroll to the Phone number field and edit. Select Submit to Etsy.

Shipping settings

To change your phone number in your Shipping settings on Etsy.com:

1. Go to Shop manager. 
2. Go to Settings and select Shipping settings.
3. Under Shipping Label Options, edit the Phone number field.
4. Select Save Preferences.

To change your phone number in your Shipping settings on the Etsy Seller app:

1. Go to More.
2. Scroll to Shop settings and select Shipping. 
3. Under Shipping Label Options, edit the Phone number field.
4. Select Save Preferences.
